FLSmidth has announced another significant order for its High-Pressure Grinding Roll (HPGR) technology, renowned as one of the most environmentally friendly comminution solutions available.
The latest order from India includes the delivery of two of the largest HPGR units globally, each measuring 3 meters in diameter and 2 meters in width. The agreement encompasses installation, commissioning, start-up support, and a comprehensive service plan. These advanced HPGRs are slated for installation and commissioning in 2026.
Earlier this year, FLSmidth secured orders for seven HPGRs and a strategic cooperation agreement committing to six more. This new order brings the company’s total HPGR orders and commitments for 2024 to 15 units.
Commenting on the milestone, FLSmidth CEO Mikko Keto stated:

HPGRs are recognized for their energy efficiency, reducing power consumption while providing stable grinding operations without the need for grinding media. FLSmidth also highlighted its leadership in the global HPGR market, citing its extensive operating experience spanning over 20 years, technological advancements, and the largest installed base by multiple metrics.
The company has further refined this technology with its HPGR Pro series, offering up to 20% higher throughput, 15% energy savings, and up to 30% longer roll life. This latest development underscores FLSmidth’s commitment to driving innovation and sustainability in the mining and cement sectors.
