Flexco has expanded its conveyor solutions portfolio with the launch of the Flextreme™ PXT Secondary Belt Cleaner Cushion, designed to meet the extreme demands of heavy-duty mining operations. The new cushion is engineered to handle higher tonnages at faster belt speeds while maintaining cleaner, more efficient conveyor systems.

The PXT cushion features a single-piece stainless steel body with a polyurethane dampener pressed into place—a patented design that eliminates delamination risks and improves durability. It is also 15% lighter than previous models, reducing manual handling risks and improving safety during maintenance.
Engineered for long shutdown cycles, high-speed belts, and heavy material loads, the cushion provides a reliable upgrade where standard designs often fail prematurely.
“This innovative design delivers unmatched longevity and reliability for belts running at up to 7.5 meters per second on vulcanized systems,” Fales added. “Extensive field trials worldwide have shown the cushions not only outperform shutdown cycle expectations but also resist fatigue under the toughest operating conditions.”
The PXT cushion is suitable for a wide range of heavy-duty industries, including aggregate, cement, coal, copper, hard-rock/open-pit mining, and underground mining. It is fully compatible with existing P-type cleaners and can be paired with both Flexco standard and extra-life tungsten tips.
