Solar Africa Expo to spotlight Africa’s solar opportunity alongside Africa Energy Indaba 2027

Africa’s accelerating transition towards cleaner, more resilient and accessible energy will take centre stage with the launch of Solar Africa Expo, a dedicated platform focused on solar energy, renewable technologies and sustainable power solutions across the continent.

Co-located with the Africa Energy Indaba 2027, taking place from 2–4 March 2027 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), Solar Africa Expo will bring together industry leaders, investors, utilities, governments, manufacturers, technology providers, EPCs, developers and other energy stakeholders to explore the opportunities emerging across Africa’s rapidly evolving solar market.

With some of the highest solar irradiation levels in the world, Africa has significant potential to expand solar generation and use renewable energy to support electrification, energy security, industrial development and economic growth. At the same time, hundreds of millions of people across the continent continue to lack reliable access to electricity, reinforcing the need for scalable and innovative energy solutions.

Against this backdrop, Solar Africa Expo will provide a dedicated business and networking environment for companies and professionals shaping the next phase of Africa’s energy transition.
