Brenntag, the global market leader in chemicals and ingredients distribution, today announced the official opening of the extension of its CASE and Construction Innovation & Application Center in Duisburg, Germany, doubling the existing laboratory space. This enhancement allows Brenntag to intensify their work in the fields of architectural paints, industrial coatings, adhesives, and construction applications. Customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland can now benefit from expanded capabilities.

The state-of-the-art Innovation & Application Center offers customers and suppliers a full range of technical services, including formulation development, raw material evaluation and performance testing for a wide variety of products. New capabilities at the expanded Center include:
- Advanced curing techniques: radiation and heat curing to precisely match formulations to specific application requirements.
- Enhanced application and testing methods: introduction of screen printing, a digital microscope for detailed surface analysis and the ability to determine minimum film-forming temperatures of water-based systems.
- Optimized sample preparation: A bladeless speed mixer for faster sample preparation, enabling quick adjustments and optimizations of the formulation.
